Ready to get your blood pumping? There are plenty of activities in the Gorge region that will give you a surge of adrenaline but we will start off with renting kayaks or stand up paddle boards from Hood River Water Play for a wild afternoon on the Columbia River! You’ll need a hardy meal afterward, so stop by Pfreim Brewery which is conveniently located on the waterfront in Hood River, OR. Stay the weekend the Columbia Gorge Riverside Lodge on the Stevenson waterfront, your headquarters for this adventure!
The Cabin Drive Thru will get day two started off right with a hot breakfast and a latte before you head off to the community of BZ Corner. This is where you find several white water rafting companies to choose from, to take you on an exhilarating ride down the White Salmon River and over Husum Falls (a class 5 rapid!) This river moves fast and there are plenty of fun rapids which means there aren’t long slow sections – perfect for truly adventurous at heart! On your way back to Stevenson, stop by Everybody’s Brewing in White Salmon for a delicious dinner.
On day three, get started with a hike up Wind Mountain in Home Valley and enjoy the spectacular Gorge view from the top! Then back to Stevenson to enjoy lunch and an award winning craft brew in the outdoor garden patio at Walking Man Brewing. Finally, enjoy one last rush of adrenaline at Skamania Lodge Adventures. Experience a one-of-a-kind adventure as you fly suspended by a cable through the rain forest canopy. The tour includes seven different lines, the longest one being over 900 feet in length, 3 sky bridges, an auto-belay and some light trail walking.
